Tait, Jordan, and Scott went to visit the Tumaini Children’s Home, which is a home established in January of 2006 for orphan children diagnosed with HIV. Currently they have 16 children (9 boys and 7 girls) aged from 6 months – 6 years. The plan is for a full facility of 60 children with an attached school for them to attend. At present, they do not have any medical support at the home, but renovations and donations are being established to provide daily medical care if required. If medical support is required, the children are transported to a local children’s facility.
This was a very special visit that showed us the meaning of humanity, compassion, and empathy.
