Ty Losses First Tooth

Unbelievable! Ty (7.5 years old) finally lost his first tooth. All family members thought that the occasion would take place in Africa - but it happened in Calgary on March 6th, 2008. TY was very surprised that it finally happened as well as having his first visit from the Tooth Fairy - intersting though as TY received some Canadian as well as Kenyan Shillings.

Badminton Championships

Tait and Kyle signed up for the Calgary Winter Club - Badminton Club Championships (March 5-8, 2008). Each child participated in the singles, doubles and mixed doubles. The tournament concluded on Saturday with a wind-up celebration. The results were as follows: Tait - Doubles (Silver), Mixed (Bronze), Singles (Bronze); Kyle - Doubles (Gold), Mixed (Bronze), Singles (Silver)

Ski Day at Sunshine

A break in the school week! Our Saskatoon friends came to Calgary/Banff area and the McLeans joined the Fanous (Logan, Kayla, Janice and Blain) for a day of skiing and dinner at Sunshine Ski Villiage. The conditions were very good with sun and fresh snow. Although it was a short visit, there were lots of laugh and lots of fun!
